Overnight Flight

Before I start things off, how are y'all doing? Hope life has ben giving you enough lemons.
I'll be trying to post my Seoul trip photos as well as some information regarding my trip for you guys so this is how it's gonna work!

My Seoul trip is gonna be broken down into 3 parts-

Chapter 1: Overnight Flight, Day 1
Chapter 2: The Heart and Seoul, Day 2 - Day 3
Chapter 3: Seoul Swaggin', Day 4 till the end of my trip

Chapter 1
We rented an apartment from Airbnb mainly cos we knew we needed a kitchen. We had planned to cook for some meals, knowing that we won't be getting meals at certain areas of Seoul.

Like honestly, the subways in Seoul are so complicated and it's not the lines themselves but the stations. You could honestly get lost in the stations transfering lines, where some platforms might be located at B7??? Who knew that existed right?

We landed in Korea at around 9am and blah blah we headed out for lunch, ONWARDS TO HONGDAE!!!

Abundance of churros in Korea and the first one I tried was the milk custard filled churro from Churro 101, KRW3,900.
But before that, we ate kebabs for lunch at Istanbul Kebab, right next to Churro 101 if you can see.
The kebabs in Korea are so much flavourful from the ones you buy from the pasar malam.

The kebabs ranged from KRW4,000 to KRW5,000 without the drinks tho but they're quite filling.
It was spring in Korea and flowers were abundant, at every street corner and even at the subway stations FOR CHEAP like omg my mom went crazy... And sadly even if we bought them, by the time we reached Singapore, it's like err.......

Cat cafes are also cheap there. To paint you a better picture, in Singapore it's priced by the hour; $13 for the first hour and $5 for the subsequent half hours. In Seoul (or at least the one that I went: Cat's Attic), we just paid for the drink which was KRW3,ooo and we were allowed to stay for as long as we want!??!?!?

So that was Hongdae! We actually went to Trick Eye Museum right after our meal since it was also in Hongdae. In my opinion, they kinda had a mix of everything like cafés, Haji Lane-esque shops, makeup, Uniqlo and even Forver 21! At night, it gets much more happening cos students will start busking at Hongdae Mural Street. Most of them will dance, there are singers as well and instrumental performances. Pretty cool.... Kinda miss it... HAHAH

So we ended the day with dinner by the Han River. Honestly, we just wanted to visit the Han River and maybe catch the Rainbow Fountain performance but we ended up at the wrong bridge. But hey, managed to eat our take-away kebabs at the iconic 7-11. Felt so Korean.... Jokes!

Additional Information
  1. While in Hongdae, we ate at Istanbul Kebab. Just click on the link for the address, a photo attached and a map.
  2. Just to inform y'all, the churros didn't have any halal confirmations by anyone. Generally churros only use eggs, sugar, flour and butter so I was ok with eating it. If you don't feel right eating them, I suggest you don't? Hahaha to each their own.
  3. Churro 101 wasn't the only churro I ate. I ate at Mr Churro as well. They were both good although I prefered the flavours at Churro 101. There was another one but I didn't take note of the name....
  4. Right next to Mr Churro there was a stall that sold really nice parfait. Instead of using ice cream, they used yoghurt which was a really nice contrast to the chocolate coated strawberry and custard filling like idk so it wasn't too sweet yakno? Nadiah was the one who bought it so I didn't take a photo HAHAHA
  5. Just in case you really wanted to see the Rainbow Fountain and not just eat at 7-11, just click on this link and it'll show you more information on it.
  6. However if you actually want to eat at the 7-11, where they also sell fried chicken (probably not halal) just take the train to Dangsan Station on line 2 and there'll be signs to help you get there!

Right then!
I hope I helped whoever that is planning to go to Korea! Although maybe not too soon what with the MERS and all.
If not, I hope you enjoyed my photos and have a lovely weekend to all!
xoxo
