Parks & Recreation

Singapore is a literal concrete jungle, despite the efforts in making our country more green, it is not enough.
Being stuck in your neighbourhood for 4 months changes your view on nature.
No exaggerations there! The humidity and lack of wind did not stop me from sighing at the beauty mother nature has given us as I walked around Botanic Gardens.
(I apologise for this overbearingly cheesy confession towards nature as I'm writing this blog while watching The Lorax)

Well, except for the part when my friends decided to surprise me and Puteri under the glaring hot sun which caused the candles for our cake to be so miserably short and pathetic, omg that really made me laugh!
And also made me feel so #blessed (hahahahaha) for the friends I have that went through all these trouble for a moment of happiness!
But in all honesty, the only thing I would wish upon my enemies is to go through an event with bad organisation and planning.
*shrugs*

yes I brought baby food in flavours of broccoli and carrot, parsnip and sweet potato
I bet you can tell which tasted worse
and we have video evidence....

keeping our picnic PG, playing Scrabble and all with our oh so limited vocabulary

sneak preview of my collab with basics girl hijabs (jokes)

Since we had to take a bus down to Orchard to get on home, a thought popped into my mind to go to Ion Sky in spite of the sun setting.
The view was absolutely breath-taking. Also maybe we were at the 55th floor and the altitude made it hard to breathe and it was flippin cold up there.
But believe me when I say Singapore looked so majestic. The clouds felt so surreal and I could feel their freedom.
I can't stress how much that day made me feel so grateful to be able to experience what God has given us on Earth including my friends and my family.
Who tried to help Swag and Syaqs to surprise me but it didn't end up quite as planned.

Hari Raya 2014 (II)

How has the world been treating you? Fine I hope, though if you're at the opposite end of this emotional spectrum, I hope this quote will get you through the day.
This quote has helped me to continue on this journey despite the yellow brick that is slowly fading away......

"If you're going through hell, keep going."
-Winston Churchill
“Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty."
-Theodore Roosevelt

Moving on, I understand that Hari Raya was like 4 months ago, I also hope you understand that I had to put off some of my posts due to my studies
THUS there will be a constant flow of overdue content coming up these few weeks
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
So, starting from where I left off before my semi-hiatus, this is part 2 of my Hari Raya!
Since it might be the last year I'll be attending Innova, I figured it was only right for me to go out with the JC lads who thankfully, welcomed me temporarily into their circle.

Meet the gang!

(ps, a better view of Tati who is in red and Amelia in blue!)

I would like to thank these groovy bunch once again for allowing me to enter your elite task force team! I hope you guys enjoyed my company as much as I did yours!

Alright now kids, there will be many more outdated content that I will be uploading so watch this blank space cos I might write your name...
Lol see what I did there, jokes!

Peace out

Post A Levels

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
It is now the end of the miserable period of my educational life or what you might call 'A Levels'...

JC has been a pretty tough journey and let's be honest I'm too sick to dig up some photos to do an "End of JC Journey" right now.
Yes, sick, you heard me right. Right before my last paper, also my worst subject, I fell sick.
So, moving on, here is what I did nearing the big day.

Grad Day

Post Grad School Sessions

Here comes my temporary freedom, rolling around the corner, which I intend to make full use of, attempting to better myself as a human being!
As my days move along, I will cancel off the things I have done from my To-Do List!

Hazirah's To-Do List
Improve writing/blogging/journalism skills
Improve blog in general
Improve photography skills in both digital and analogue
Improve film making skills
Learn how to edit photos nicely with or without the use of Lightroom and Photoshop
Learn how to use HTML codes
Tumblr more
Somehow make my lifestyle healthier than it is now
Read all Harry Potter books including the Hogwarts Library
Read all my books actually
Read A Series of Unfortunate Events
Re-watch Harry Potter series
DIY my Kanken
Reorganise my room
Reorganise my life
Confirm a back-up plan

Well, there might have been some which I can't really remember from the back of my hand but hey, the list isn't exhaustive!
As much as it may excite me, I shan't bother y'all with the gritty details of my freedom, thus, I shall get back to uploading content that I have been putting off for this week.

Have a nice day lads

If You're Feeling Hopeless

I hope you may be a little inspired by these videos that have been shared and ones that have made me realised.
In spite of all these absolutely creative videos, I have yet to be brave enough to do what I want.
I hope, somewhere along this journey, this yellow brick path that is slowly fading away, I remember that my name is Hazirah and remember who I've been afraid to be. Also, not to end up being Yubaba's apprentice.

Watch these videos.
Really.

If you have any inspirational videos that have inspired you in ANY way, do share them with me and I'll help spread this idea of achieving our dream.

Being in the GP state of mind, going on about argumentative balanced essays, I have had this thought, where chasing my own dreams, or anyone chasing their dream is rather selfish.
But that's a story for another day.

Goodluck to all the souls who have mustered enough courage to be chasing their own dream and to those who have yet to find that path, I hope you find yours soon.
