Korean Halal

My stacked up posts are coming to an end as I blog another long forgotten and overdue piece from the pre-As era!
This is dated after my last Prelim 2 paper, where Nadiah, Weekee and I decided to get some gastronomical therapy following the theme of Korea~~
And since we were on the topic of Korea, Nadiah and I decided to stop by Korea Tourism Organisation while waiting for Weekee to end her MCQ paper.

Additional details
If you're planning your first trip to Korea without the help of a travel agent, especially if you're a Muslim, I highly recommend stopping by Samsung Hub and grabbing some very honestly helpful brochures and info from KTO.
They've got brochures for u fangirls, kdrama addicts and halal foodies.

Going back to the food adventure, well, there isn't much halal Korean eateries so we basically went to Seoul Garden HotPot and Nene Chicken all conveniently located around town woop cos we are smashed after our morning papers!
Just saying, HotPot is usually pretty empty and Nene Chicken is completely the opposite...
But good food all the same! Such fun~

Stopped by Japan on the way to Nene Chicken, we couldn't help it! Uniqlo and Muji were calling us...

Not forgetting to thank my adventure companions; Weekee and Nadiah!

Early Merry Christmas to all of you wonderful cuties!

SAM Visit

Ps, I do not know how to write cursive...

How To Enjoy An Art Museum For The Struggling Student
1. Eat before your trip to the museum at a place that exists.
Fyi, the halal taco stall at Golden Shoe Hawker Centre is no more.
2. Choose a weekday to avoid the judgmental real artsy fartsy crowd.
It helped me feel calmer and more comfortable to walk around and just squint my eyes in an attempt to understand an artpiece knowing there wasn't anyone thinking "lol diz gurl dk shiat"
3. Read the description of the artwork to understand. Keep an open mind to get the full effect of being mind-blown.
It's like being in Mdm Chitra's class, seriously. Sorry to disappoint but despite being a Lit student, I still found it hard to understand half the pieces without reading their descriptions.
I suck at PC...
4. Comfortable footwear.
The museum may look small but you will have to walk quite alot.
5. Make full use of your free sticker pass. Which we didn't...
FUNNY STORY we were tired from the countless stairs we had to climb so we didn't go to the 4th floor at 8Q.
So when we were forced to enter this exhibit which was outside the museum, the lady who was in charge of the exhibit asked if we saw the aquarium at the 4th floor which, I quote was "EYE-OPENING!!" sigh... we couldn't go back up there... no.

6. Oh! Lest I forget! Go with your friends to make the trip more exciting, hilarious, unforgettable.
It was a great time to go to SAM for the 1st time with my friends who made the whole day more tolerable.

All in all, I still prefer cultural and historical museums, where I can relate to on a more direct level. Like National Museum or Asian Civilization Museum or Peranakan Museum oh so many cultural and historical museums in Singapore
(Thank you for the free entries!!!)
Also maybe cos I'm a histodent...

some of the photos are thanks to puteriramdzan and Mai
be proud of your country and their museums!!

peace out

Living Life on The Fast Lane

Time flies, as fast as the F1 cars. During the prelim periods, I lost track of time repeating the mundane dull cycle of study-eat-sleep.
But when my mom told us she got tickets to watch the F1 race, I started counting down to the Saturday where I could watch the cars zoom-zoom heart like a rocket.
And people watch, all these people with endless pockets and massive love towards their respective teams.

I'm no big F1 fan but I do follow up on the race occasionally, when I stumble upon it while channel surfing during my rare tv breaks.
Nonetheless, I've always wanted to hear the tires screech against the roads live while actually vigurously shake my head in an attempt to follow the cars.

Ps, I went on Saturday, the practice race not the race itself so the atmosphere wasn't exactly the best but amazeballs no matter!

these cookies are so darn delicious? as far as I know, they're only sold at Wisma Atria basement

our ticket allowed us access to almost everywhere except the VVIP areas including the concerts but the good acts were on Sunday which my mom went... Cos I had to "study" so I watched Pet Shop Boys with adults ranging from 30-50, bobbing their heads (including my dad)

also, the toilet is lush like omg the only air-conditioned part of the venue

Ceremonious

So I had to go to town on a Sunday morning to recce for the Brunei kids
with Cikgu Ain
in her red car

anyhoo
Spencer is going thru a rough time.
Like I don't know if it's normal cos I've been editing videos and using iMovie
but my apps, according to my "About This Mac" it's like 56GB??
Can anyone help me identify if this is normal?

On a lighter note, I love how cultural Singapore is!
I bet there will be people who disagree but honestly, I am, to an extent proud to be Singaporean!!!
The museums here are like amazeballs and I miss going to museums with my family...

We'd use to go to art festivals and plays and museum exhibitions but we're all so busy these days we don't even go out on weekends...

Moving on, I'm gonna delete my tumblr and instagram which have been HUGE MAJOR distractions to me
especially tumblr
that shit is hilarious, makes my day??

Trying to use less of my phone in classes but so far, only been doing so in tutorial lol
Also been having less sweets in my life like just in general sugar food ((except chocolate I can't chocolate))
Relatively more enthusiastic about PE
"omg Hazirah is that really you"
yes loljk I haven't changed physically
maybe mentally and emotionally uuuu

good day fishies
